Heisler Park
Stretching along the bluffs, this oceanfront park offers artsy park benches, sculptures, ocean views, rocky shores and tide pools. Its kid-friendly offerings include a lighthouse-themed play structure. There's also easy access to bathrooms and showers.
Aliso and Wood Cayons Wilderness Park
Originally part of the Juaneno or acajchemem tribal land, Aliso and Wood Canyons Wildnerness Parks span some 4,500 acres of wilderness and natural open space land. A designated wildlife sanctuary, the park protects the habitat of 137 species of nesting and migratory birds, plus rare and endangered plants.
